Hamilton Field House

Central Oklahoma's Hamilton Field House opened its doors in January of 1965, during which time the school's wrestling program was shut down.

UCO revived wrestling for the 1972-73 season and the Bronchos of head coach Jimmy Rogers wrestled their first match in Hamilton Field House on Dec. 8, 1972, with a victory over North Texas, 53-2. Central celebrated its 300th dual in HFH on Dec. 10, 2023 with a 40-5 rout of Newman.

UCO has compiled an impressive 237-63-3 record (.787 winning percentage) at Hamilton Field House. Current head coach Todd Steidley has a 36-2 record (.947) at Hamilton, leading the Bronchos to six unbeaten seasons on their home mat. Central will enter the 2024-25 season with a 21-match home winning streak, three off the record of 24 in a row that was set from 2010-15.

Hamilton Field House underwent renovations in the summer of 2001, with individual chair-back seats installed on all four sides of the lower level. Including north and south side bleacher seating upstairs, capacity at Hamilton Field House is 3,000.

UCO hosted the NAIA National Wrestling Championships in Hamilton Field House in 1981 and 1984, with the Bronchos winning the championship both times. Central also hosted the 16-team NCAA Division II National Duals for five straight years, from 1995-99. The Bronchos recently have hosted the NCAA Division II Super Region IV Championships in 2021 and 2023, winning the title both times.

Hamilton Field House was renamed from Broncho Field House on May 1, 1993 in honor of longtime UCO coach and athletic director Dale Hamilton, who helped design the building in the early 1960s.

Hamilton also serves as the home facility for UCO volleyball and basketball. Numerous other events, including the university's graduation ceremonies, are also held in the building.
