Sophomore looking to contend for the top spot at 165 pounds this season . . . Was a part-time starter at 157 as a true freshman in 2009-10 before redshirting last year and made great progress in the room . . . Hard-working youngster ready to get back in the lineup and contribute.

2010-11:  Competed in five open tournaments during redshirt year, going 13-10 with seven bonus-point wins.

2009-10:  Went 10-16 with five bonus-point wins while spending all season at 157 . . . Wrestled in nine duals for the Bronchos and also competed in four open tournaments.  

High School:  Two-time state placer at Allen (Texas) High School, finishing runner-up as a senior . . . Put together at 154-34 career record . . . Was a silver medalist at the 18th World Maccabiah Games during the summer of 2009 in Israel while competing on the United States team.

Personal:  A biology major looking to become a physician . . . Father (Evan) wrestled at the University of Minnesota and competed in the 1986 and ‘87 World Championships as well as the 1988 Olympics for Israel . . . Brother (Ophir) is a freshman wrestler at Brown this year . . . Lists “Rocky” as his top sports movie . . . Birthdate is Jan. 16, 1991.
