Senior transfer who should play a big role at linebacker.

UNLV:  Redshirted in 2004 and then played in 10 games with four starts the following year at safety, making 26 tackles with 3.5 for loss . . . Moved to linebacker in 2006 and started in six of 10 games played, finishing with 35 tackles and two fumble recoveries while earning Academic All-Mountain West Conference honors . . . Battled injuries last year and played in just three games, making three solo tackles.

High School:  Football-track standout at Ayala High School in Chino Hills, Calif. . . . Earned All-Sierra League honors on both sides of the ball as a senior . . . Ran the 100- and 200-meter dashes in track.
