EDMOND – The University of Central Oklahoma women's tennis team added a third signee to its 2017-18 class this spring with Laetitia Charbonnet signing a national letter of intent to play for the Bronchos next season.

Charbonnet will come to Edmond from Valais, Switzerland, where she was born and raised. Charbonnet has been competing in tennis for nearly 10 years and has won several regional championships in Switzerland.

"Laetitia is a powerful player who isn't scared to come up to the net and try and dominate her opponent," UCO head coach Jaron Maestas said. "She is going to be a great addition to our team next season. I'm excited for her to get here and start working with our team."

Charbonnet joins Paola Lopez and Haley Morgan as players signed on to be Bronchos this coming fall. Lopez is out of the Niagra Tennis Academy in Ontario, Canada but is originally from Los Cabos, Mexico. Morgan is a senior at Edmond North, where she has won three-straight state championships.
