EDMOND (May 22) – Central Oklahoma's Kacie Edwards earned a bevy of awards Wednesday when the Central Oklahoma standout was named to a trio of All-America teams.

The senior designated played from Yukon earned second-team All-America recognition by both the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and Daktonics, Inc. in addition to earned first-team honors on the Capitol One Academic All-America squad.

A physical therapy major with a 3.62 grade point average, Edwards leads the Bronchos with a .410 average that includes 18 home runs, 14 doubles and 60 runs batted in. She owns single nine school records, including career marks for at bats, runs, hits, doubles, homers and RBI.

Edwards has led UCO to a 47-11 record and a berth in the NCAA Division II Championship Finals, with the Bronchos set to open that eight-team tournament Thursday at 11 a.m. against Armstrong Atlantic.
