Bronchos Start MIAA Play Thursday

Streaking Central Oklahoma puts a four-game winning streak on the line Thursday when the Bronchos travel to St. Charles, Mo. to take on Lindenwood in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association opener for both teams.
 
Tip-off at Robert F. Hyland Arena is 7:30 p.m.
 
UCO is 6-1 on the season and romped over Oklahoma City 85-63 last Saturday in its last outing.  The Lions are 4-4, having won their past two outings.
 
Terry Evans' Bronchos, averaging 86.1 points a game, have been paced by Josh Gibbs.
 
The senior standout is second in the league in scoring with a 21.6 average while easily topping the conference in rebounding with a 14.7 a contest.  Gibbs has already been named MIAA Player of the Week twice this season/
 
UCO has three other players scoring in double figures – sophomores Seth Heckart (13.4 with a team-high 19 3-pointers), Aaron Anderson (10.7) and Cal Andrews (10.7).  Senior Jarrod McDaniel adds 9.9 points and 6.0 assists a game.
 
Lindenwood, 4-1 at home this season, gets 14.4 points a game from Tyler Ressel and Darris Smith.
 
The Bronchos have a 2-1 lead in the short series with LU, including a 78-75 win last year.
 
UCO stays on the road Saturday, going to Jefferson City, Mo. for a 3:30 p.m. game against league rival Lincoln.
