UCO Tabbed Ninth In Cross Country

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Aug. 7) – The Central Oklahoma women's cross country team has been tabbed for a ninth-place finish in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association this season, according to the preseason coaches' poll released Tuesday.

The Bronchos of head coach J.D. Martin earned 42 points in balloting of the 12 head coaches.  Defending champion Pittsburg State earned 10 first-place votes to earn the favorite's tag with 120 points, while Missouri Southern had the other two first-place nods and 107 points.

UCO returns the majority of the team from last year, when it won three meets while competing as an NCAA Division II independent before moving into the MIAA this season.
