OKLAHOMA CITY (July 1) -- Nathalie Timmermans helped lead the Dutch National Team to a 3-2 record during round-robin play in the 2012 World Cup of Softball, with the former Central Oklahoma star and her teammates to play in the bronze medal game Monday at the ASA Hall of Fame Softball Complex.

The Netherlands will play an opponent to be determined at 4 p.m. Monday, with the United States and Australia to meet for the gold medal at 8 p.m.  Click here to watch live streaming of the games.

Timmermans started four of the five games and hit .444, collecting four hits in nine at bats with two doubles, a home run and three runs batted in.

A member of the Dutch National Team since 2008 who played in the 2008 Olympics, Timmermans went 1-for-2 with a double in a tournament-opening 7-6 win over Canada last Thursday.  She was 2-for-3 with a key two-run double in a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over Brazil Friday before sitting out a 7-2 triumph over Puerto Rico.

Timmermans blasted a solo homer to give the Netherlands a 1-0 fifth-inning lead over the United States Saturday before the USA rallied for a 2-1 win and she was 0-for-3 in a 4-0 loss to Australia Sunday.

Timmermans was a consensus first-team All-American catcher for the Bronchos this spring after helping lead UCO to a 46-9 record and third-place national finish.  She hit a team-high .463 with 23 home runs and 68 runs batted in, setting single-season school records for homers, runs (75), hits (81) and walks (30).
