Bronchos Set For National Tournament

Central Oklahoma makes its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships this week, traveling to Louisville, Ky. for the four-day tournament that gets underway Wednesday.

The No. 16-ranked Bronchos qualified for the 12-team event by tying for second in the Super Region Four Tournament, with three teams from each of the four regions making up the field for the 72-hole national tournament.

Making up UCO's five-player team is Chaney Uhles, Taylor Neidy, Mychael McWhorter, Lindsey Bensch and Tressa Brumley.  Uhles finished third and Neidy tied for fourth in the regional tournament.

Rounding out the rest of the field is No. 1 Nova Southeastern, No. 2 Florida Southern, No. 4 Grand Canyon, No. 5 Tarleton State, No. 6 Barry, No. 12 Grand Valley State, No. 17 Indianapolis, No. 18 California (Pa.) and No. 21 Augustana along with unranked Colorado-Mesa and Western New Mexico.
