EDMOND (April 25) –
Senior pitcher Aaron Rosborough made the most of his final outing on the mound and Central Oklahoma got back on the winning track with a 12-0 drubbing of Mid-America Christian Wednesday afternoon at Wendell Simmons Field.

Rosborough started for just the second time this season and nearly went the distance in the run-rule rout, with the crafty right-hander scattering five hits in 6 1/3 innings.  He walked just one and struck out six – five of those looking – while throwing 80 pitches.

Ethan Sharp came on in the seventh to get the final two outs and close out UCO's 13th straight home win as the Bronchos bounced back from Tuesday night's 10-2 loss at Arkansas-Fort Smith.

Austin Rycroft went 4-for-4 with three runs batted in and Jared Wright smacked a two-run home run in a 3-for-3 day at the plate to lead UCO's 13-hit attack.

The Bronchos (31-15) go to Rogers State for a single game Thursday night before wrapping up the 2012 season Saturday with a 2 p.m. home game against NAIA's No. 2-ranked Oklahoma City.

UCO took control quickly, pushing across three runs in its initial at bat.  Rycroft's bloop single drove in the first run, while Kevin Blue scored on a wild pitch and Keegan Morrow added an RBI groundout.

The Bronchos made it 4-0 in the second when Eric Garza led off with a single through the left side, advanced to second on a groundout, took third on a wild pitch and scored on Tucker Brown's groundout.

UCO didn't add to its lead until the fifth, scoring four runs there and coming back with another four-run volley in the sixth to put the game out of reach.

Morrow had a two-run triple, Rycroft an RBI single and Jacob Zinn a sacrifice fly in the fifth, with Wright's massive two-run homer the key blow in the sixth.  Rycroft added a run-scoring double and Blue a sacrifice fly in that frame to make it 12-0.

Blue, Wright and Cory Proctor all had two-hit games for the Bronchos.
