Bronchos Finish Sixth

DALLAS (April 10) – Dillon Rust first a final-round 70 to pace Central Oklahoma on the final day of the Dallas Baptist Classic here Monday as the Bronchos ended their spring season with a sixth-place finish.
 
UCO came in with a 294 to end the two-day, 54-hole tournament with an 853 total at the par-70 Golf Club of Dallas.  Texas Wesleyan won the 18-team event at 835, followed by Lubbock Christian (848), Oklahoma Christian (849), St. Edward's (849), Abilene Christian (852) and the Bronchos.
 
Rust ended up at two-under-par 208 for the tournament in tying for fourth place in the individual race, while Josh Creel tied for 17th at one-over 211 after a closing 72.
 
The Bronchos also got a final-round 73 from Logan Waresback, while Derek Franco shot 79 and Baer Aneshansley 83.
 
It was the final tournament for UCO, which is expected to earn a bid to the NCAA Division II regional tournament that will be held the first weekend of May.
