EDMOND (April 10) –
Surging Central Oklahoma swept a doubleheader from Oklahoma Panhandle Tuesday afternoon at Wendell Simmons Field, winning 3-0 and 8-1.

Ryan Miller threw a complete-game five-hitting in the first-game shutout and the Bronchos erupted for five runs in the first inning of the nightcap for their ninth win in 10 outings.

UCO, now 24-13 on the season, stays home this weekend to host Austin College for a three-game series.

Miller retired the first eight batters he faced, scattered five hits and walked none while striking out four in staying unbeaten (6-0) on the season with his second complete game.

Miller got all the support he needed in the fourth when Kevin Blue doubled and scored on an error, with the Bronchos added two insurance runs in the fifth on run-scoring hits by Keegan Morrow and Jacob Zinn.

UCO took charge early in the second game, getting a two-run single from Austin Rycroft and two-run double from Eric Garza in jumping on top 5-0 in the first.

Blue and J.P. Maples added RBI singles in the second to make it 7-0 and the Bronchos cruised in from there, adding a run in the fourth on Morrow's run-scoring single.

Blue, Morrow and Tucker Brown had two hits apiece to pace UCO's 12-hit attack, while Josh Rolan picked up the win, improving to 4-1 after going the first five innings.
