OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 28) -- Julia Shivadok and Sownya Pulumati picked up two wins apiece to help Central Oklahoma get past Southern Nazarene 6-3 Tuesday afternoon at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center.

Shviadok gained a three-set win at No. 2 singles and also prevailed 8-4 in her No. 1 doubles match with Eli Abramovic, while Pulumati won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5 singles in addition to teaming with Anna Kochigina for an 8-4 triumph in doubles.

The Bronchos also got straight-set singles wins from Anto Rossini and Rose Cabato in picking up their first victory of the season.  UCO, now 1-2, hosts its first three home matches this weekend, taking on Cameron and East Central Friday before meeting Southwest Baptist Saturday morning.

"Even though playing conditions were pretty tough today with the wind we were able to stay on track and get our first win," head coach Natalya Nikitina-Helvey said.  "We worked hard every point and played our game. This match should help us to go into thisweekend with more confidence."
