OKLAHOMA CITY (April 19) --
Kade Kauk spearheaded an 18-hit attack while Josh Rolan and Jake Tuck dominated on the pitching mound in leading Central Oklahoma to a 7-3 victory over near-by rival Oklahoma Christian here Tuesday night.

Kauk went 4-for-5 at the plate as the Bronchos took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and never trailed en route to their fourth straight win, with Rolan and Tuck teaming up to limit the Eagles to five hits.

"Both Josh and Jake came out and worked fast and threw a lot of strikes," UCO coach Dax Leone said.  "When you get pitching performances like that it makes the game easy."

Rolan got the start and went the first five innings in earning the win, giving up four hits and three runs while striking out two.  Tuck picked up the save by throwing four shutout innings in relief, fanning six and allowing just one hit.

Kauk's four-hit outing led the way, but the Bronchos had plenty of offensive heroes.  Keegan Morrow and Tyler Hancock both went 3-for-5, while Mike Boyle, Tucker Brown and Arrow Cunningham all had two hits.

UCO broke on top in its first at bat, going on top 2-0 as Boyle led off the game with a single and eventually scored on a passed ball while Kauk added an RBI single.

The Bronchos made it 4-0 in the third on a two-run single by Mullin, with OC coming back with two runs in the bottom of that frame to pull within 4-2.

UCO finished its scoring with three runs in the fifth as Kevin Blue had a two-run double and Kauk another RBI single to up the lead to 7-2.  The Eagles got their final run in the bottom of the fifth, but never threatened again.

The Bronchos, now 18-22 on the year, host Oklahoma Panhandle at 1 p.m. Thursday before resuming Lone Star Conference play this weekend at Northeastern State.
