LAWTON, Okla. (March 31) – Central Oklahoma overwhelmed St. Mary's here Thursday afternoon in a neutral-sit match, rolling to a 9-0 shutout.

It was the fourth win in five matches for the Bronchos, who improved to 11-8 on the year. UCO, which knocked off No. 18-ranked Cameron 5-4 in a Lone Star Conference battle here Wednesday, doesn't play again until going to Denton, Texas April 6 to meet Tarleton State.

“It was a good, solid win for us today,” UCO coach Natalya Nikitina-Helvey said. “It felt great to follow up yesterday's tough match with a confident win today. We have eight more tough matches on our schedule, so we just want to take it one week and one match at a time.”

Julia Shviadok and Eli Abramovic pulled out a tough 9-7 win at No. 1 while Rose Catato and Anna Kochigina posted an 8-0 shutout at No. 3 to lead UCO's sweep of the three doubles matches and the Bronchos lost only 18 combined games in dominating singles play.

Cabato and Lindsey Sweetgall both had 6-1, 6-0 routs in singles as UCO didn't lose a set in all six matches.
