Bronchos Move Up To 4th

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 8) – Lone Star Conference champion Central Oklahoma will enter the NCAA Division II national tournament ranked No. 4, according the final NABC/Division II Coaches' poll that was released Tuesday.

Unbeaten West Liberty (W.Va.) topped the final ranking of the season and will take a perfect 29-0 record into the regional. Bellarmine (Ky.) is No. 2, followed by Augusta State (Ga.), UCO and Central Washington.

The Bronchos, who captured their fifth LSC title last weekend in Bartlesville, have tied a single-season school record for wins at 28-3 and will host one of eight regional tournaments this weekend in Edmond.

UCO will meet Texas A&M International in the first round of the South Central Regional Saturday at 6 p.m. at Hamilton Field House. Eight-team regionals will be held at eight sites around the country March 12-15, with the winners advancing to the Elite Eight in Springfield, Mass. March 23-26.

Joining the Bronchos in the South Central Regional will be No. 9 Missouri Southern, No. 13 Fort Hays State, No. 17 Tarleton State, No. 23 West Texas A&M and unranked TAMUI, Midwestern State and Washburn.
