EDMOND
(March 15) - Chris Muchmore and the Central Oklahoma offense were too much for NAIA powerhouse Midland Luther Tuesday as the Bronchos cruised to an 11-1 rout.

Muchmore went the distance in the seven inning game that ended early on the 10-run rule, giving up just three hits and one unearned run while stricking out four and walking one.

He got plenty of support, with UCO banging out 15 hits.  Keegan Morrow's 4-for-4 performance led the way, while Ryan Schoonover, Tucker Brown, Derik Grimes, Kevin Blue and Arrow Cunningham each had two hits.

"It was a great team effort all the way around," head coach Dax Leone said.  "We played a very clean game and we were very fundamental every inning."

Tucker Brown got UCO started with a solo home run in the first inning and the Bronchos pushed across four runs in the second.  Cunningham and Grimes had RBI singles in that frame, while two other runs came across on wild pitches.

Schoonover ripped a two-run single in the third to push the lead to 7-0, with Midland getting its lone run in the fourth.  UCO came back with two in the fifth on Schoonover's run-scoring base hit and Austin Rycroft's sacrifice fly.

The Bronchos made it 10-1 in the sixth when Cody Cole delivered an RBI single and then ended it in the seventh when Morrow drew a bases-loaded walk.

UCO improved to 8-13 on the season and will return to Lone Star Conference action this weekend, hosting East Central for a single game Friday at 2 p.m. and a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m.
