EDMOND (Jan. 19) --
Another balanced scoring attack led to another rout for Central Oklahoma Wednesday night at Hamilton Field House as the streaking Bronchos clobbered Texas A&M-Commerce 87-54.

UCO -- which had five players score 10-plus points in last Saturday's 17-point romp over Cameron -- put six players in double figures and shot a season-high 54.0 percent from the field to roll over the Lions in its highest-scoring game of the season.

The Bronchos, who improved to 10-5 on the year and 3-0 in the Lone Star Conference North Division
with their fourth straight win, wrap up a three-game homestand Saturday night against Southeastern Oklahoma.

"We played a pretty complete game, both offensively and defensively," UCO coach Guy Hardaker said.  "We got a little careless with the ball at times, but we did a great job of spreading the ball around and got a lot of easy shots."

The Bronchos had assists on 23 of their 34 baskets, outrebounded the Lions 45-35 and blocked a season-high nine shots.

Senior star Ashley Beckley paced UCO's balanced attack with 17 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals, while Britney Morgan made four 3-pointers in scoring 14 points and Alex Richardson had 13 points, seven rebounds and three blocks off the bench.

The Bronchos also got 10 points apiece from Kylie Mayes, Courtney Allen and Heather Davis, with Mayes adding seven rebounds and five blocked shots -- tied for the third-most in school history -- and Allen a career-high six assists.

UCO never trailed in the mismatch, jumping on top quickly behind 3-pointers from Allen and Morgan.  It was 12-6 when the Bronchos really took control, getting four points from Beckley and layups from Allen, Morgan and Davis in a 10-0 run to open up a 22-6 lead barely nine minutes into the contest.

It was a 13-point (43-30) cushion at halftime and that grew to a 19-point bulge (49-30) when UCO opened the second half with a 6-0 run as Beckley scored twice from close range and Mayes added a layup.

The lead went to 20 at 65-45 on a Morgan trey at the 7:44 mark and reached 30 at 75-45 on Mayes' turnaround jumper in the lane with 4:13 remaining as the Bronchos coasted in for their most lopsided win of the season.
