EDMOND (July 29) – Central Oklahoma has added three state high school standouts to the roster for the 2010 women's cross country season, according to head coach #J.D. Martin#.

Ready to join the Bronchos this far is Jacquelynne Skocik of Jenks High School, Tess Lackey of Plainview High School in Ardmore and Katie Kerns of Pryor High School.

Skocik won the Class 6A state championship last year for the Trojans, while Lackey was a fourth-place finisher in the Class 3A state meet and Kerns took 15th in the Class 5A state meet in addition to earning All-State honors.

“All three of these girls have a chance to come in and help us immediately,” Martin said.  “They had a lot of success in high school and I look forward to having them in our program.”

UCO returns eight runners from last year's team that finished fourth in the Lone Star Conference.  The Bronchos open the season Sept. 11 when they host the UCO Land Run.
