UCO Releases Women's Schedule

EDMOND (July 28) – A 13-game home schedule and an exhibition with Division I Wichita State highlights the 2010-11 Central Oklahoma women's basketball schedule that was released Wednesday.

The Bronchos travel to Wichita, Kan. to take on the Shockers on Nov. 7 for an exhibition game before beginning the season Nov. 19-20 at the Texas Woman's Classic. Click here for the schedule.

UCO makes its home debut on Nov. 23 against Pittsburg State and will have a pair of three-game homestands during the season. The Bronchos meet three returning Division II national tournament teams -- going to West Texas A&M on Dec. 18, hosting Tarleton State on Jan. 6 and playing Lone Star Conference North Division rival Northeastern State twice in four days (Feb. 2 in Edmond, Feb. 5 in Tahlequah).

“It's a good, tough schedule that will present plenty of challenges,” said fifth-year head coach Guy Hardaker, who is 88-35 with three consecutive national tournament appearances. “We'll be a pretty young team and will have to grow up in a hurry, but we're looking forward to it.”

UCO has back six letterwinners from last year's 22-8 team that finished second in the LSC North Division and was ousted in the first round of the South Central Regional. Senior forward Ashley Beckley is the lone returning starter after averaging 16.1 points and 5.9 rebounds a game last year as a first-team All-LSC North Division pick.
