Green Makes State Amateur Semifinals

TULSA (July 13) – Central Oklahoma’s Andrew Green continued his impressive run in the Oklahoma Golf Association State Amateur Championship at Cedar Ridge Country Club here Tuesday, winning a pair of matches to move into the semifinals.
Green, a junior-to-be from Edmond, defeated Garrett Moore 3&2 in Tuesday morning’s third round before coming back in the afternoon to eliminate Alan Bratton 4&2 in the quarterfinals. He had 5&4 and 4&3 wins in Monday’s first two rounds.
Green will face Robbe Trout in Wednesday morning’s semifinals at 8 a.m. A win there would put him in the finals, which is set for a 12:30 p.m. start. Click here to follow the scoring.
Green had a team-leading 73.87 scoring average in 2009-10 while posting top-20 finishes in seven of UCO’s 11 tournaments. He came in third in the Lone Star Conference Championships and was a first-team All-South Central Regional selection for the second straight year.
