THACKERVILLE, Okla. (April 19) – Central Oklahoma shot a season-low 285 but lost ground on the second day of the Lone Star Conference Men's Golf Championships here Monday.
Andrew Green fired a sizzling five-under-par 67 and Zach Cleland added a three-under 69 as the Bronchos finished three-under in completing two trips around the 7,272-yard, par-72 WinStar Golf Course with a 580 total.
But UCO dropped from second to fourth heading into Tuesday's final round, with Midwestern State fshooting a 14-under 274 in taking the team lead at 570. Abilene Christian had a 13-under 275 and is second at 573, followed by Cameron (577) and the Bronchos.
Dillon Rust added a 74 for UCO, while #J.B. Law shot 75 and Matt Charlson# 78.

“Andrew and Zach both played great today and obviously carried us,” UCO coach Dax Johnston said. “Scoring conditions were a lot better today and they took advantage of it.
“We're still in the hunt and hopefully we can come out tomorrow and put some pressure on the leaders.”
Green, riding a recent hot streak that has seen him finish in the top three of the last three tournaments, is tied fourth in the individual race at four-under 140 after a brilliant round that saw him make seven birdies.
The sophomore standout birdied all four par-5s on the course while also getting birdies on the par-4 eight, 10th and 12th holes against two bogeys.
Cleland continued his strong play in the league tournament with his steady round. The senior, who has finished fourth, eight and 13th in three previous LSC Tournament appearances, had 15 pars and three birdies in his 69 and is sixth in the medalist race at 142.
