OKLAHOMA CITY (April 13) -- Central Oklahoma fell into a big hole early and couldn't recover in dropping a 15-8 decision to Oklahoma Christian here Tuesday night.
The Bronchos trailed 7-1 after two innings and never got closer than three runs the rest of the game in losing their second game in a week to the Eagles.
UCO, now 12-25 on the season, resumes Lone Star Conference play this weekend when the Bronchos end their home schedule with a four-game series against West Texas A&M. The two teams meet for 1 p.m. doubleheades both Saturday and Sunday.
Taylor Brown went 3-for-5 to lead UCO's 12-hit attack, while Brady White and Casey Bruns had two hits apiece. Both of Bruns' hits were solo home runs.
The Bronchos got a two-run homer from Luke Yost in a three-run third to get within 7-4, but OC came back with five runs in the fourth to open up a 12-4 lead. UCO got single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings to claw back within five (12-7) before the Eagles put the game away with a three-run seventh.
