PORTALES, N.M. (April 11) --
Central Oklahoma ended its four-game weekend series with Eastern New Mexico on a low note here Sunday afternoon, losing an 8-0 decision in a game shortened to five innings because of weather.

The Bronchos managed just one hit while falling to 12-24 on the season and 9-23 in Lone Star Conference play.  UCO lost 11-9 in Friday's series opener and then split Saturday's doubleheader, winning 10-7 and losing 8-7.

The Greyhounds scored one run in the first, third and fourth innings while erupting for five runs in the second to take their 8-0 lead before the game was finally halted due to lightning after an earlier 25-minute delay.

Jason Monko had the lone hit for UCO.

The Bronchos return to action Tuesday with a 6 p.m. contest at near-by Oklahoma Christian.
