Bronchos Finish 13th

SEASIDE, Calif (March 30) – Central Oklahoma fell back one spot on the final day of the Lady Otter Spring Invitational here Tuesday, coming in 13th in the 19-team tournament.

The Bronchos shot a closing 335 on the par-73 Blackhorse Golf Club to finish with a 660 total.

British Columbia won the two-day, 36-hole event, firing a final-round 298 to finish at 600.  Cal State-Monterey Bay was second at 606 and Sonoma State third at 619.

“We just didn't play well today,” UCO coach Michael Bond said. “We had trouble hitting the greens in regulation and really struggled to get up-and-down."

Cassy Knight led the Bronchos, shooting a final-round 81 to tie for 28th in the individual race with a 159 total. Erica Bensch had a closing 82, while Raelynn Farthing, Mychael McWhorter and Maria Jimenez all shot 86.

UCO returns to action next week at the Grand Canyon Invitational in Goodyear, Ariz.
