UCO Finishes Seventh

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (March 23) – Andrew Green was the only Central Oklahoma player to break 80 as the Bronchos came in seventh at the Midwestern State Invitational that wrapped up here Tuesday.

UCO struggled to a final-round 319 at windy Wichita Falls Country Club to finish the two-day, 54-hole tournament with a 914 total. Oklahoma City finished at 859 to run away with a 23-shot win over Dallas Baptist in the 18-team event.

Green's closing 77 was the low score of the day for the Bronchos, with Dillon Rust and Zach Cleland both shooting 80, Matt Charleson 82 and Colin Morgan 83. Rust ended up tied for 14th in the individual standings with a 224 total.

“Everybody got off to a terrible start today and we just couldn't recover,” UCO coach Dax Johnston said. “It's disappointing we didn't play any better than that.”

The Bronchos return to action next week at the Dallas Baptist Invitational.
