NEW YORK, N.Y. (Feb. 20) -- Central Oklahoma will begin the spring golf season No. 4 in the Golf World/NIKE Golf Division II Men's Coaches' Poll, it was announced Friday.
The Bronchos of head coach Dax Johnston won three tournaments during the fall campaign, including an impressive victory at the Division II Preview that attracted most of the top teams in the country.
South Carolina-Aiken topped the rankings, rceiving 11 of the 17 first-place votes cast in finishing with 413 points. Columbus State was second with 374 points and Florida Southern third with 363, while UCO earned one first-place vote and was fourth with 360 points.
Abilene Christian was the only other Lone Star Conference team in the poll, coming in 20th.
The Bronchos open the spring season at the Crawford/Wade Invitational in Pottsboro, Texas.
