UCO Baseball Schedule Set

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma will start the 2010 baseball season with games against three of the top teams in the country from last season.
The Bronchos open the 2010 campaign by hosting Central Missouri for single games on Feb. 5-6, with the Mules coming off a 44-15 campaign that saw them end the season ranked 10th in NCAA Division II.
UCO goes to defending Lone Star Conference champion Abilene Christian for a four-game series the following week and then comes back home to host Emporia State on Feb. 16. ACU went 45-19 last year and was ranked 16th in the final Division II poll, while the Hornets were 49-15 and No. 2 after finishing as the national runner-up to Lynn (Fla.).
The Bronchos of 19th-year head coach Wendell Simmons will play 26 home games in 2010, including 18 league contests.
UCO has nine players returning from last year’s 27-28 team.
