Bronchos Finish Season

ABILENE, Texas (Nov. 7) -- Central Oklahoma finished the 2009 cross country season with a 16th-place finish in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional here Saturday, getting a top-40 finish from its lone senior on the team.

Evelyn Berko came in 33rd in the six-kilometer race, finishing with a time of 23:14.61 in the final race of her career.

The Bronchos finished with 396 points in coming in 16th in the 21-team field. Missouri Southern had the top-three individual finishers and had 18 points in running away with the team title.

UCO's other runners in the regional were Angelica Martinez (77th, 24:25.17), Alina Istrate (81st, 24:32.44), Cara Cox (105th, 25:16.42), Angel Vick (114th, 25:34.68), Hannah Pempsell (117th, 25:43.98) and Julia Crocker (129th, 26:32.89).
