EDMOND (Nov. 30) – Inside dominance and a balanced attack paved the way for Central Oklahoma Monday night at Hamilton Field House as the Bronchos overwhelmed Science and Arts of Oklahoma, 96-72.

UCO outrebounded the Drovers 50-29 -- with 22 boards on the offensive end leading to 46 points in the paint – in improving to 3-2 and all 12 players in uniform scored while seeing at least 10 minutes of action.

Dauntae Williams scored a game-high 23 points in just 22 minutes to lead the Bronchos, hitting 9-of-11 shots and a pair of free throws in addition to pulling down eight rebounds and handing out five assists.

Eric Cazenave (11) and Chris Rhymes (10) were the only other players in double figures, but five others had at least seven points.

The easy win and spread-out playing time was good for the Bronchos, who have to turn around and travel to Stephenville, Texas Tuesday to face Tarleton State in a Lone Star Conference crossover showdown.

“We played pretty solid and didn't have to play anybody heavy minutes, so it was a good night for us,” UCO head coach Terry Evans said. “Tarleton will be a big challenge for us and we're looking forward to what should be a great game.”

The Bronchos trailed only once against USAO and that 3-2 deficit lasted just 19 seconds before Shane Carroll drilled a 3-pointer from the corner to put UCO in front for good.

A Williams trey pushed the lead to double digits at 23-13 with 11:00 left in the half and it was a 21-point cushion (40-19) on a Blake Livingston dunk at the 5:04 mark.

The Bronchos led 49-32 at the break, hauling down 17 offensive rebounds and scoring 32 points in the point in the first half alone. The Drovers never got closer than 16 in the final 20 minutes as UCO coasted in with its 28th win in the last 29 home games.
