EDMOND (Nov. 23) -- Central Oklahoma softball coach Genny Stidham added two state high school standouts during the early signing period that ended recently.
Agreeing to join the UCO program in 2010-11 were Hannah Justus of Catoosa High School and Carly Skinner of Verden High School.
A projected shortstop-third baseman for the Bronchos, Justus was an All-Conference and All-Metro pick as a senior at Catoosa. She was also a state qualifier in track last spring.
Skinner was a two-time Conference Offensive Player of the Year selection at Verden, earning All-State honors this past fall. The catcher/shortstop batted .582 as a junior before hitting .581 as a senior.
"Hannah and Carly are both excellent ball players and I look forward to having them in our program," Stidham said. "They're good athletes with great work habits and will have a chance to come in next year and help us."
