Adom, Wilson Earn LSC Honors

CANYON, Texas (Nov. 11) – Central Oklahoma’s Zuela Adom was named Lone Star Conference Newcomer of the Year and was joined on the first-team All-LSC squad by Kristen Wilson, it was announced during the league’s post-season awards banquet here Wednesday night.
Adom returned to the court this year after having not played since 2005 at the University of Houston and was a mainstay from the outset for the Bronchos. The junior from Euless, Texas has 361 kills, 196 digs and 76 blocks heading into the LSC Tournament and helped key UCO’s late-season surge.
Wilson repeated as a first-team All-LSC pick with a stellar season as the junior outside hitter from Moore has a team-high 371 kills along with 364 digs, 42 blocks and 23 service aces. She’s had 10-plus kills in 23 matches this season, including nine in a row.
The Bronchos carry a season-high five-match winning streak into the LSC Tournament, taking on Texas A&M-Commerce at 5 p.m. Thursday in the first round.
