KINGSTON, Okla. (Oct. 6) – Dillon Rust paced Central Oklahoma for the second straight day at the Texoma Championship as the Bronchos finished third in the 10-team event.
Rust had a final-round 74 in claiming runner-up honors in the individual race and UCO shot a closing 307 at the 7,085-yard, par-72 Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club to finish the two-day, 54-hole tournament with a 910 total in their final fall tournament.
Northwood (Texas) won the team crown at 892 after a closing 292, while Cameron was second at 899. Click here for tournament results.
Zach Cleland had a 76 for the Bronchos, who also got a 77 from Matt Charlson, an 80 from Andrew Green and an 83 from Colin Morgan.
“Dillon had a great tournament and carried us again today,” UCO coach Dax Johnston said. “We made some positive strides this fall and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do in the spring.”
Rust finished with a 220 total in tying for second in the medalist race. Charlson tied for eight at 225.
UCO had two other players compete as individuals, with Derek Franco shooting 77 and Trevor Stafford 82.
