Bronchos Compete In Boston

BOSTON -- Central Oklahoma made the long trek here the weekend of Oct. 18-19 to participate in the largest rowing event in the country at the Head of the Charles Regatta.
More than 8,000 athletes attended in the two-day event, with the Bronchos coming in 20th in the Women's Collegiate 4+ competition. UCO finished the 4,800-meter course in 21:01, five minutes off the winning pace of Trinity College.
Calah Lynes, Jessica Lawson, Brittany Koster and Laura Borkenhagen stroked the boat, with Rachel Basinger the coxswain for the Bronchos.
UCO finishes its fall season Nov. 1 at the Frostbite Regatta in Wichita, Kan.
