DUNCAN, Okla. (Oct. 13) – Cassy Knight fired a final-round 75 to lead Central Oklahoma to a fourth-place finish in the Oklahoma Intercollegiate that ended here Tuesday.

The Bronchos shot a closing 315 to finish two trips around the par-72 Territory Golf and Country Club with a 631 total in their final fall tournament.  St. Edward's won the 13-team event at 614, followed by Angelo State (623), Northeastern State (630) and UCO.

“We had a great start today and a horrible finish,” UCO coach Michael Bond said.  “We gave away a lot of shots on the back nine and that was disappointing.”

Knight had UCO's low round by five shots Tuesday, making three birdies in her three-over-par round.  The Bronchos also got 80s from Maria Jimenez, Raelynn Farthing and Emily Leahey and an 83 from Erica Bensch.

Knight ended up tied for fourth in the individual standings with a 152 total, while Jimenez came in 11th at 155.

UCO finished second, third, fourth and fourth in its four fall tournaments.

“It was a pretty good fall for us and we made some progress,” Bond said.  “We had a couple of players really step up for us, but there's still a lot of work to do.”
