AUSTIN, Texas (Oct. 25) – Central Oklahoma had several teams compete in the Head of the Colorado Regatta here Saturday.
UCO’s best effort came in the Open Four with Cox, with the team led by Stephanie Rogers finishing 10th in the 20-team race ahead of teams from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and Tulane among others.
The Bronchos had two other teams in that race, finishing 16th and 17th.
UCO was fifth in the Novice-2 Eight with Cox behind Laura Millwee and had teams finished ninth and 10th in the Open Eight with Cox. Stephanie Lay directed the Novice-1 Eight with Cox squad that came in ninth
“There were a lot of great teams there and I though we held our own,” UCO coach Patrick Brown said. “The team has been working really hard and we’re making progress.”
The Bronchos go to Wichita, Kan. For the Frostbite Regatta on Sunday for their final even of the fall.
